Me, Brian, and my mom were very excited and nervous about this appointment. To give a little history, we have had many miscarriages, and never have we had a "good" or "normal" ultrasound. It's usually a dissapointment, ie "We can't find a sac", or "It looks like you are miscarrying", etc. So being that we are believing for a very different pregnancy this time, as we truly feel like this is a GOD thing.. there were definitely nerves present!
So we go into the doctors office and he starts the ultrasound, and I did feel a peace - as the nausea was becoming increasingly worse each day.. so that means hormones are rising and not falling... at least I hope! :)
Back to the ultrasound... I can sort of see the screen, not clearly, but he's doing "his thing" before he lets us see. But what I can see fills my heart with joy... I see a larger sac, with something white inside of it - (Remember.. ultrasounds have not shown babies for us before... things always went wrong way early) So this is totally exciting to me.. I see him clicking and measuring, etc.. and then he hits a button and I hear HEARTBEAT!! I will not lie... I cried!!! Brian Cried! My Mom Cried!! It was MUSIC to our ears! So very shortly after that the Doctor turned the screen and showed us our little baby and he said everything looks great! He wants me to come back in 2 weeks to do another ultrasound, just to lock in a for-sure due date, as he said it's really hard to measure the baby when it's that small! :)
